Devolution in Kenya

The impact of citizen participation is not just limited to those who participate. The actions a few citizens can have a large impact on an entire community. Therefore, the more citizens participate, the more their government and community will feel the impact of their actions.

The PAC is a particularly important and venerable institution of parliament. It is placed at the apex of legislative oversight of public finances. The following are recommendations that might be adopted (See download for full report):

To register as a voter in Kenya , a person must:

  1.     Be a citizen of 18 years or above.
  2.     Be of sound mind.
  3.    Not been convicted of an election offense.
  4.     Registered at only one registration center.
