Jacob Orina- Managing Director

Jacob has passion in international development work ranging in strategic communications, social media, ICT, Knowledge management and public relations. He has profound experience in Information, Communication and Governance management having researched, read, authored, trained, facilitated, worked and consulted with the International Center for Policy and Conflict (ICT and Devolution), Kenya Human Rights Commission (journalist trainer), PanAfrican Climate Justice Alliance (ICT and media specialist), Transparency International (Advocacy and Communications/Deputy Programme officer), FEMNET (Information and Communication executive),M.U FM (Radio Presenter),Pillar Magazine (Editor in Chief) among other organizations (NGO, Private and GoK). He holds a Bsc. Information Sciences (Moi), M.A in Communication Studies (Nairobi) and further training in: Media, Advocacy and Human Rights (Berlin), ICT for good governance (Vilnius,Lithuania), Climate Finance Budgets & Technology (Bangkok, Thailand) and Climate Governance (Transparency International).  He has been involved in strategic planning processes and engagement with stakeholders in promoting organizational visions and objectives. He is currently director and lead consultant.

Joan Lillian Ruto-Head of Research and Business Development

Joan is a Bachelor of Arts graduate from University of Nairobi, and a Master of Arts holder in communication. She has 3 years’ experience in diverse environments: communication, research, finance, conflict management, and project monitoring and evaluation.  She is currently the head of Research and Business Development at Tachicom-Kenya. In the past she worked as a monitoring and evaluation officer at UWIANO, Research assistant at the African Women Studies Centre as well as finance assistant at The Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya. 

Bilhah Waka – Partnership and Resources Manager

Bilhah is a corporate and communication practitioner, who has worked in various capacities in public relations, resource mobilization and partnership relations. She has over 7 years’ work experience in diverse areas in the field of communication. She has worked in capacities such as developing a fundraising action plan, identifying and suggesting fundraising opportunities; mobilizing resources for community group discussion and conducting research and surveys on communities, organizing and facilitating community trainings, discussions and dialogues. She has also actively engaged in public relations, facilitating the development of communication and public relations strategies. She is currently the Partnership and Resources Manager at Tachicom- Kenya. She is currently pursuing a M.Phil in Communications Studies at Moi University, she has done a Post- graduate Diploma in Project Management, and a B.A Sociology all from Moi university.

Jacob Baraza- Programmes Coordinator

Jacob is in charge of facilitating and coordinating projects at the organization as well as providing advisory input in implementation of environmental, climate change, water and sanitation projects focusing on good governance. He has a background in Water Engineering, Environmental Conservation, Natural Resources Management and climate change. Prior to joining Tachicom-Kenya, Baraza worked for Center for Social Planning and Administrative Development (CESPAD), Transparency International-Kenya, Athi water Services Board and AMREF-Kitui Water and Sanitation Programme.

Enock Moturi- Communication and IT Executive

Enock currently serves in the communications department at Tachicom - Kenya LTD. He holds a degree in Communication and Media technology with IT from Maseno University (K). He has previously worked with at the Kenya News Agency (KNA) as an intern and Kenya Network Information Centre (Kenic). He is responsible for production of marketing materials at Tachicom-Kenya and works with other team members for the overall communication and public relations section of the company.

Winnie Kimani -Communication and Online Advertising Executive

Winnie is a communication and advertising specialist. She has previously worked with the media (Kenya News Agency) as a journalist trainee, Moi University IT department as an intern and AIESEC International Kenya. She holds a Bsc. in Graphics communication and advertising from Moi University and a diploma in IT from KCA University. She is responsible for the online media at Tachicom-Kenya. Other responsibilities include creation of animations, production of marketing materials and public relations.

Fiona Nyanchera - Finance and Administration Executive

Fiona holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from United States International University (USIU). She has professional experience in the Finance and Administration department having worked as a Finance and Administration intern at The Executive Office of the President. She has also worked as a front office volunteer at Mama Fatuma Children’s home. Fiona is currently working in the Finance and Administration Department. Her main responsibilities include; providing financial information to management preparing financial books and reports, providing an effective and efficient administration service to all internal and external clients.
